1. The principle of overflow well discharge method: the sewage is mainly discharged into the municipal sewage pipe through the overflow well, and the pump is used as a supplement to remove the accumulated water in the overflow well and the upstream sewage pipe. The flow should be confirmed by discharging all accumulated water within 30min. In order to reduce the operation cost, the sewage pump can be started before the peak water consumption every day to drain the accumulated water in the overflow well and the upstream pipeline. This can not only prevent sewage from staying in the pipeline for a long time and forming siltation, but also make the ponding pipe section often washed, which is conducive to pipeline ventilation and the removal of harmful gases in the pipeline.   

When planning the cement pipeline system, the slope of the cement pipeline above the overflow water level should be minimized to reduce the length of the ponding pipe section and the amount of ponding in the drainage system. The slope of the cement pipeline below the overflow water level should not be too small, and it should be ensured that the water flow has a certain scouring strength on the pipeline when the pipeline is evacuated.   

This method is applicable to the control point of the cement pipeline which is close to the access point of the municipal cement pipe network. If one method is adopted, the cement pipeline in the community cannot be connected to the municipal pipe network, and the residential community or factory area with small scale is also applicable to the rainwater drainage system.   

When used in the rainwater drainage system, rainwater is discharged through overflow wells. The rainwater pump is only opened after each rain and when the pipeline needs to be dredged and maintained, so as to remove the accumulated water in the pipeline.   

2. Principle of pipeline well crossing method: when the cement pipeline meets the crossing of existing pipelines or rainwater and sewage pipes during burial, the pipeline well crossing method is adopted, which can reduce the buried depth of the pipeline and is not easy to block.   

The principle of this method is shown in Figure 2. An inspection well is set at the intersection of pipelines to let another pipeline pass through the well. The key is to ensure that the water flowing area in the well (the area of the shadowed part in the figure) is greater than or equal to the cross-sectional area of the pipeline to be passed through. The size of the water flowing area in the well can be controlled by the size of the pipe passing inspection well. The principle of pipe passing is small pipe passing through large pipe, and the current pipeline passing through the planned pipeline.   

3. Principle of intercepting tank method: this method uses intercepting tank to block sewage in sewage drainage system

It is easy to deposit substances in order to prevent pipeline blockage caused by the decrease of pipeline slope and flow rate, so as to reduce the value of smaller planned flow rate and smaller planned slope of cement pipeline as appropriate, so as to reduce the buried depth of cement pipeline.   

During detailed planning, ordinary septic tank can be used as interception tank. Since the intercepting tank mainly blocks the easy sediment in the sewage and does not need anaerobic fermentation to purify the sewage, the volume of the sewage part can be taken as 1/3 of the normal septic tank, while the volume of the whole intercepting tank is about 1/2 of the normal septic tank.   

When planning the sewage pipeline, the slope of the pipeline in front of the intercepting pool cannot be reduced. For the sewage pipeline after anti silting treatment in the intercepting pool, the values of the smaller planned flow rate and the smaller planned slope can be reduced by 20% to 30% compared with the smaller values in the specification rules. This method is applicable to residential quarters or factories with flat terrain and long distance between the starting point (control point) of the pipeline and the access point of the municipal sewage pipe network.
